  22. I would like to release the MiscKit version 1.0 as soon
  23. as is possible.  In order to do this, a few things need
  24. to happen.  First, and foremost, all current contributors
  25. and all future contributors to the MiscKit need to go
  26. over the documentation (top level files) that I have just
  27. placed on ftp.byu.edu (see accompanying note).  If I
  28. do not hear back from you before Saturday, Nov. 13, I
  29. will assume that you have no problems with _anything_ in
  30. any of the files.

  32. Second, if you have something pending in the To_Do or
  33. In_Progress files, or have something not listed that you would
  34. like to donate, I need to know when you can get the
  35. final "ready" version to me.  I would like to include as
  36. many of the projects as possible in the 1.0 release.
  37. The sooner I know projected "ready" dates, the quicker I
  38. will be able to come up with a release date.  (I need
  39. to choose a date that will allow as many submissions as possible,
  40. but not be too far in the future.)  If your contribution
  41. will have to wait for a later release, that is OK, but
  42. I would like to put the version 1.0 release date far enough
  43. in the future that most contributions will be ready for it.
  44. So, get back to me in the next couple of days if at all
  45. possible--just take a quick minute to drop me a note.

  47. Finally, the third thing that has to happen is that I
  48. have to finish cleaning things up with Makefiles and
  49. all my stuff in the Temp directory.  I think I will be
  50. able to get all that done rather quickly, so I am
  51. expecting the limiting factor to be collecting all
  52. the submissions together.

  54. Well, let me know as soon as you can!  I think the
  55. soonest possible release date would be Monday, Nov. 15,
  56. and I would not like to have the date be any later than Mon.
  57. Nov. 29, if at all possible, so that's the window I
  58. am currently considering.  The absolute latest date
  59. for release 1.0 is Wed., Dec. 15 because I fly home to
  60. Chicago for a three week vacation the next day, and
  61. my goal is to have release 1.0 of the MiscKit out
  62. before I leave.
